We went out to the look out point early this morning and it took awhile to locate the 12 deadly sins of Taiji. Finally we found them and they were very far out into the ocean. I learned that the fishermen like to go out very early like all avid fishermen to get the fish while feeding - in this case the dolphins. There is a current that mixes with warm and cold currents that brings a lot of nutrients and food for the animals of the sea. This is where they drive their boats to and hope to get their dolphins feeding.
It wasn't too long that we had the whole fleet give up and start to come back to the Taiji port which of course we were so HAPPY!
Here is a video of the returning fleet.
I have snapped a few odd pictures of the local city of Taiji and I'm sure you may think so too:
Good to hear today was a blood free day.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a very odd looking town. In fact alot of things here strike me as odd. This year all of a sudden in Tokyo and Kyoto( possibly other cities too) my friends and I have noticed that real rabbit fur is very popular and is being sold even in average low priced clothing and accessory stores all over. rabbit fur bags, rabbit fur ear muffs, rabbit fur scarves, gloves, boots, blankets....!!! It's crazy. Even more so because this is Year of the Rabbit!
That's Japan for you!
