Since the beginning of the Dolphin Slaughtering this season there has been a lot of Dolphin Protectors from the Cove Guardians to other organizations and mere independants that all want change. What I have noticed after speaking with 2 Cove Veterans and reading current blogs is that things are changing. The change is happening on both sides, meaning the protectors and the fishermen. This change is what I believe to be evolving of tactics to make changes happen either naturally or in your face.
The fishermen from the beginning were doing their regular drive of dolphins into the cove and killing them with little cover. After being exposed numerous times to worldwide lookers they started to cover their areas with more tarps, less or not at all any killings outside the cove, and hid the bodies right up to the slaughter building. New laws have been put in place within the "Conservation Area" that would result in a fine if a person went around a barbed wire barrier. This action of evolvement to me is due to positive light surrounding the darkness and exposing it for what it is a horrible act on a sentient being.
This positive light are the Cove Guardians and other organizations and independant passionate people. These people have had to change their tactics as the days and months passed too. Their tactics went from an aggressive stand and trust no one - to more positive and allow the people of Taiji know they support them to make the change required and stand with them against the 24 or so fishermen putting shame on their small village.
Recently I have spoke to many "Cove Guardian Veterans" and learned about different tactics used. My friend Tarah was a CG in November and pushed the envelope any time she could do so legally and it worked well at that time.
Then my new friend Janice who was a CG in December states that the tactics have changed to be more positive in our professionalism and gain respect for change by locals who want the end to the shame.
Evolving to the situation is a great tactic in itself. It shows that when one direction gets stale you make the move to another angle and keep being unpredictable. Our world is about evolving from predators to prey. In this case the fishermen are the predators over the dolphins but (we) Internationally are the predators over Taiji and won't stop until we win the battle.
I recently had an event on January 8th where I and Janice spoke to educate the crowd about why Taiji. I leave in matter of hours to Japan and I have been in contact with many on=site protectors and guardians that I will be supporting and creating positive action of change.
Please watch the following video, about 15minutes in total of a great night of education, fundraising, and an intimate dinner amongst positive people.
Watch for my first blog at ground zero in a matter of days.
Stay positive its the only energy that the darkness cannot extinguish!
Please contact your closest Japanese Embassy/Consulate and let them know you do not approve and want the dolphin slaughter to stop: Stop The Slaughter

It was a couple of years ago that I first learned about Taiji Bay aka "The Cove" when I did a painting that I called "The Rising Sun Exposes The Guilt". Now I have an opportunity to do more and this is becoming a "Cove Guardian" with the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society in Taiji Bay, Japan.
I have started to organize ways to raise some money and awareness about this decision I have made and you can donate and share on facebook, , Paypal (timmons.animal.artist@gmail.com)
Thank you Bob for making the joirney to Japan. I wish it was under different circumstances that you were coming to this beautiful and amazing country. Unfortunately what happens in Taiji is staining Japans reputation, but I admire and appreciate that you are coming here to help make a change.
