The Sea Shepherd Seattle Chapter was launched and had a ton of amazing people who traveled from all over North America. I came from Toronto and was put up with many others at the West's Home. Rob Lorkiewicz came from Virginia Beach - Virginia, Tim Quick flew in from Philadelphia, and Tarah Millen, Ryan Hughes, Marley, Carissa, and Adrienne all drove over the border which had a story in itself.
The joke of the weekend and the night was about the "Canadians" that couldn't speak to the masses. This was because the truck load was stopped at the border and then searched. Within the search they found a Paul Watson book "Earth Force" which is about protecting the planet. Well the guard opened up the book randomly and found the words "Guerilla Tactics" and instantly claimed them to be terrorists. The story for them began at that moment when their rights were being removed and they weren't allowed to even call the Canadian Embassy. After having a criminal profile done they were finally released to head back to Canada. With much motivation to get over the border they decided to go over at a different location after getting proper requested information and dropping the "Earth Force" book into a church book drop-off box. They arrived at the new border crossing point and after more investigation and phone calls they were finally allowed over the border.
