IFAW: Not With My Tax Money!

Well every year starting in March the Canadian government's propaghandi comes out and brainwashes the canadian citizens about the seal hunt of gray seals and harp seals. To people who do not support this seal hunt consider it a Seal Slaughter! Back in the 90's this slaughter was shut down by animal rights activists and then after the pressure softened the government geared it back into operation. They found a market for the fur and away they went to the killing ice flows of the eastern coastline of Canada. After this seals were being killed by the thousands. By 2009 the Canadian government was up to about 300, 000 seals slated to be skinned on the ice leaving their bodies scattered in red splatter marks over the white snow. Then the European Union banned all seal products that really pissed off the Harper government and forced them to use our tax money for this slaughter and now to fight the European Union which they did not win. 2011 they have put out a qouta of 60,000 seals to be slaughtered.

March 12th - International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) - hit the streets of Toronto at the Dundas Square downtown. They brought their enormous seal mascot for this event and a ton of literature. People held signs and got petitions signed. Scarfs and buttons were handed out and a ton of conversation buzzed around the whole event from support to nonsupport. Overall majority does not care for their money to support this slaughter and want it to end.

March 21st - IFAW supporters went out on the streets of Toronto in the College and University street area near the Toronto University. A lot of students passing by with the subway entrances nearby and some were taking the information while others ignored and a couple actually fought for it. One student says "they do it becuase their overpopulated and if we didn't kill them there would be too many". While the reply was "How about the ice flows not forming in the last couple of years not allowing them to have their babies to populate?" and there was no reply.

When the matter hits home it only makes more disgruntled conversations to amazing support and awakening at times. No matter what the reactions are its best to let people know the facts and how the government covers it up and uses tax money. A police officer showed up on the scene and stated "I know all about the seal hunt and I think the tax money can be better used to help create yearly jobs instead of a few hundred people in a short time."

I myself like to approach each matter differently depending on who I speak with and one I liked today was Ìf you don`t like the Harper government then boycott the Seal Slaughter and piss them off!` Some people would smirk, some would ignore me and others came up and asked why. Each issue and each person thinks and reacts differently - we have to find what makes them tick and share them the information in a manner that affects their thoughts alone.

Just on another quick note seals are being slaughtered in Nambia as well! This matter needs to stop and you can also check it out here: https://sites.google.com/site/thesealsofnam/

An even more sad part of this if that is possible is the death toll rising and next will be a food crisis and disease! So as we all know it they are in extreme need of help!

Money raised is going to an Animal Rescue Organization working in Japan. Currently we are seeking out an SPCA that is in the ground zero of the worst area.

Being an artist I am always looking for ways to create help for a positive change and when I heard about this matter I knew my art could raise some money. Mass Gathering Against Captivity - Miami or Bust

When I see the animal protest back in the 70's its filled with hundreds of passionate people to force an end to animal suffering. People back then did not have a television in every room, a computer, more than one car if at all, cell phones, video games, DvD's, etc. These people were more intune to what was happening because there was no distraction of entertainment like there is today!

Today almost every living human in the wealthy countries has a cell phone or two. Their children have cell phones at the age of 7 years old in some households. Technology has taken over our minds and we forget about what is around us outside. When I was younger we were kicked outside from the morning until the evening. Children today sit in their homes and play video games, hang out on the internet keeping in touch with their movie stars, and all the while there is suffering going on by big corporations on millions of living beings that make up this world "Planet Earth". Our planet has become a factory itself by millions of corporations that feed on it only to grow stronger a few very large corporations. It seems that the top few that control are banks, pharmaceuticals, monsantos (food control), and oil all play the world with strings and as long as we do not come together in a mass and fight they get stronger and this planet gets weaker. Its time to mass together, stand up and be heard!

Our protesting has been weak from the 70's to now - 40 years later. I thought it should have gotten stronger to keep what they won back then which is now being taken away by governments. Last year the IWC was looking at allowing 10,000 whales to be killed. George Bush was deregulating environmental protection on his last month of power. All of these took years of pressure from passionate people who new the importance of what a living being from an animal, human to a tree or body of water. It probably took 20 years to gain most of these protecting laws for people, animals, and the environment but when we relax thinking its done allows them to come back! Just like the Canadian Seal Hunt that once was finished and then came back even stronger when people weren`t looking. It happens and it has to end!

The population today has increased massively while the trees, wild animals, and rivers have decreased substantially. This offset of balance of life has brought us to so many more issues like the ocean having a dated death sentence of 2048, ice caps melting, polluted fresh and salt water, billions of starving people while we farm millions of animals abnormal to a way of their natural lives. All the while other countries are obese and the household waste is accumulating eroneously! People would take all of this as separate issues but I don`t! I learn about every angle I can from conspiracy to facts regarding past, present and future plans of action with this world. From this information I can make a more intelligent thought and plan of action.

I believe the time is Now! Everyday we pass by is another day lost to a strong force coming together! I'm speaking about our 2011 International Grassroots Action Plan! No names, no organizations, no labeling! Just passionate people coming together to demand a change to stop this Environmental destruction, pollution of water-land-air, to stop development into the wilderness - land and sea, and to take back control! Its like we have been asleep on the wheel for the last 40 years as a mass movement. If we do not start now then when!

We have become experiments on this planet with the drugs they pump into animals, drinking water, soil, etc. The banks loan out money for technology to take or make more from the open ocean to the farms of millions`s of animals. Then the pharmaceutical companies come in with their drugs to make the animal abnormally grow large which then needs drugs to stop any sickness or abnormal infections that incurrs. This is the puppet master forcing us to play the game and it has to end with all of us coming together. From one issue to the next we must stand in a mass gathering! We must be present in numbers with our demands for the world to see! We must be noticed from here on out!

So I want everyone to join me in Miami regarding Captivity! This is a worldwide issue and needs to end now! I have chosen Miami since Shelby Proie has brought the lonely female orca named Lolita to international attention. Shelbys efforts have been amazing the last couple of years and I believe Lolita is an Icon of what Captivity can do to an animal. We need people to come from anywhere and everywhere! Bring their flags of the state they live in; and the country their from to show we are much larger than Miami - we are the world!

I am looking for a Mass Gathering in Miami however this world is huge and International attention is needed! So please share this Event: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=160505420671014 and lets start the foundation of passionate strength to tackle the horrors together as an International Grassroots Action! Lets use that Internet that takes people to another world of games to actually use it to make us 100 times stronger and more powerful than the people in the 70s.! We have the technology to be powerful! Are you with me to take back this planet starting with Lolita and Captivity!

Sunday - April 3rd
Miami Seaqaurium, Miami
1pm to 3pm

If you email me your event that you decide to host anywhere in the world on this day I will also send you another idea I will be releasing closer to the date.

This video is from this past season of Taiji Bay - Japan where the violence and slaughter is the source to captivity for most marine animals around the world! We need to stop this Now!

Worldwide View From Wild To Captive

I have been n Florida for almost a week now with my girlfriend who is also an animal activist. We are always speaking about what to do for certain situations and try and put an end to horrific actions against animals. This week we have seen wild dolphins in the ocean swim up to us in the harbour of St. Augustine,  then the beautiful different coloured birds chirping and flying around us, to the sadness of hermit crabs in a local shop being given away for free in order to sell a cage.  Sadly I seen a Marineland Sign That is in close proximity of where we're staying! And I seen on the FRONT PAGE of The St. Augustine Record An Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin Named "Nellie" had her 58th Birthday born in Captivity 1953! Now they're stating she has lived double the age of wild Atlantic Dolphins!

The sadness is everywhere from landlocked to ocean coasts cities and that is the hard part of traveling as an animal advocate. The grand look on these situations is astonishing and makes you feel sick to your stomach the thought of the animals you didn't see being sold and the animals you didn't see being brutally poached. From the sites of the wild to the sites of the captive its everywhere and sadly anywhere you thought is suppose to be relaxing is ownly a perception of the reality.

It was 2 years ago that I went on my first trip ever outside of Canada and yes it was for relaxing. I flew to Cuba and have to say I did have my moments of relaxation however the trips outside of the resort were the ones I will remember. The animals were as poor as the people but they did live in harmony in some manners but the marks I seen on some of the animals were atrocious! I witnessed a horse with so many brands from numbers to silly stupid heart shapes. Another horse that was wounded on its neck and blood dripping off it while the sun beat down on him/her. Then you see the dogs and cats bonding with a family for whatever scraps they can give them. One family I spoke with had a cat, I asked what the cat's name was and the man said "Gato" (Not sure of the spelling in Spanish). My friend said to me that Gato means Cat so I laughed and the man understood me and laughed as well. Another man later was carrying a live chicken around in a manner that this chicken was going to be killed soon for his and his family's dinner later. Cuba was beautiful and they too had marine parks, starving animals, wild and free, and the people themselves were struggling to survive as well.

I visited Australia just over a year ago and witnessed so much beauty here too! Surfers at every beach you went to and shark warning bells back at the buildings. I seen caged animals from their own kangaroos to others I had no idea existed. The country was not hurting like Cuba however they did look like the cities over here in North America with levels of poverty to well off people and caging animals for people to view that did not want to travel and see them in their normal habitat. Here I was able to see humpback whales migrate past with their young and local resident dolphins that swam with the boat and I was able to catch his eye. The eye of a happy wild dolpin is so much more alive than seeing the misread captive dolphin's eye at any dolphinarium around the world. Even with the same similarities of caging animals there were also people that were trying to protect the animals especially the nets around some beaches against sharks. I know a great lady in the southern part of Florida who protects sharks with the use of a helicoptor and a newly patented designed buoy mechanism that sharks will attach to and this engages them to get people out of the water and safely away from an incoming shark attack. Nets around beaches kill thousands of animals not only sharks and with this organization`s tireless efforts I believe they are on the right path!

Now, I have been to Florida about 4 times from north to south and I have witnessed many amazing creatures from the wild to the captive industry. Seen my first wild sharks here off the coast of the Florida Keys too. Florida to me resonates amazing energy within me from a very strong vibration to so much confusion at times. I absolutely love the sun, the ocean, the free wildlife but then there is the marine life that is captured and displayed. The alligator farms that kill them for meat and put their heads on display to be sold for a mere $20. I know I`m in a new region from my own and that the animals are all treated the same just a different type of animal that is horrifically used. However at times I believe that Florida and all coastal regions would care about the ocean more than any other animal but sadly for the most part they do not.

What really bothers me the most is a gorgeous coastal state taking the marine mammals and caging them in the concrete pools for life. I have been to many places now around the world and no matter landlocked to coastal they all seem to have these types of establishments but to me seeing the ocean in the background with a marine prison at its edge is horrific. It does not help the person who says, its a way to see them when we normally may never see them in the wild. In this case the dolphins for one are trapped in a concrete pool and only a hop, skip and a jump a way is wild dolphins playing and willing to interact with you. It was in St. Augustine - Florida that I was sharing my story with the lady at the front desk of our hotel about the dolphins. She said oh yes the dolphins like to come up but I get scared and get out of the water. I was shocked to hear this person who lives and works right beside the gorgeous Atlantic Ocean was afraid of dolphins. I told her they won`t hurt you. She continued to say, but they have teeth and that is enough for me to be scared. I was in shock and just didn`t want to believe that someone so close to the ocean would be terrified about dolphins! If we could just bring this world of animals to the classroom to protection and love our world would be on the way to a more balanced and peaceful world.
